Make folders open in a single window. Normally when you double-click a folder icon, a listing of its contents is displayed in a new desktop window. If you open several folders, your Windows desktop can quickly become cluttered with many open windows. You may prefer to specifiy that each folder you open replaces the previous.   To make folders open in a single window: Click here to open the Options dialog box. From the Browsing options group, click Browse folders by using a single window. Click OK.
